The Oceanside Police Department is aware of the discovery of human remains in the Palomar Mountain area.

At this time, the remains are not believed to be related to the missing person investigation involving Angelica Brophy.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Office is conducting the investigation into the discovery of the human remains. Any additional information regarding the remains will be released by the San Diego County Sheriff's Office as appropriate.
