ARREST OF INTEREST

On Saturday, August 17, 2024, at approximately 8:50 PM, the Oceanside Police Department received reports of an altercation involving several suspects in the area of 1400 N. Harbor Drive. According to witness accounts, two individuals, identified by bandanas covering their faces, were seen assaulting several men with baseball bats.  Before officers arrived, the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. Multiple victims were identified and treated for various degrees of injuries at area hospitals. Oceanside Police Department's gang detectives conducted a follow-up investigation on the assault.  During the investigation, five individuals were identified as the suspects responsible for the crimes committed during this incident.  This is believed to be a gang-motivated crime. 

 On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, detectives located two suspects in Vista, Ca.  Jorge L. Perez of Vista and Pablo F. Gonzalez of Oceanside were taken into custody without incident.  Both were booked into the Vista Detention Facility on several felony charges.
