Oceanside READS, Oceanside Public Library’s adult literacy program, supports adults as they reach their education goals. Oceanside READS Learning Center provides free tutoring and small group classes for adults who want to improve their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in a welcoming and encouraging environment. With the help of dedicated community volunteers, READS Learning Center has served thousands of individuals through three programs: Adult Literacy, Family Literacy and English as a Second Language. A partnership between a grant from California Library Literacy Services and the City of Oceanside has sustained this service for over 26 years.
