Paying for public parking for residents and visitors in Oceanside is getting easier thanks to the introduction of the option for mobile parking payments. The City partnered with PayByPhone to roll-out its easy-to-use services first in two public lots with plans to expand to more areas in the future.
Those parking in the SALT building public parking lot (371 North Cleveland Street near Civic Center Drive), also known as PS23, and Lot 30 on The Strand (commonly known as Betty’s Lot) now have another option to pay using the PayByPhone mobile app. The lots will continue to accept cash and credit cards, as well.
Customers can download the PayByPhone mobile app, connect a payment card securely to the app, and pay easily in seconds. If your time needs to be extended in the lot, simply increase your parking session through the app instead of running back to “feed the meter” in pay lots. The app will send you an alert if your parking session is due to expire, so you don’t risk a ticket. You’ll never have to worry about having just the right change, or queue at a machine to use this system. The PayByPhone app is available in 13 languages.
We encourage drivers to download the PayByPhone app to enjoy the ease of mobile parking payments the next time they’re planning to park in an Oceanside public pay lot. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store or visit the PayByPhone website for more information: www.paybyphone.com.
