OCEANSIDE CA, We are aware of a social media post circulating today that has raised concern about a law enforcement operation near Shoshone Street and San Diego Street.

To clarify, this activity had nothing to do with ICE or immigration enforcement. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the El Cajon Police Department were in Oceanside following up on a shooting investigation and serving an arrest warrant connected to that case. The Oceanside Police Department was not involved in this operation.
