In 2024, the City of Oceanside asked residents to weigh in on three major plans that will shape our community's future—from where new homes and businesses go, to how we manage climate change, to what our major streets will look like in the future. The plans were updated based on your feedback and are now ready for public review. What Specifically Needs Feedback?
The City is requesting comments on the Draft Recirculated Program Environmental Impact Report (Draft RPEIR). This is a "recirculated" environmental report, meaning the City made significant changes based on your previous feedback. This is your chance to review those changes and ensure your voice is heard before final decisions are made. This document analyzes potential impacts from the three plans on:
- Traffic and transportation
- Air quality and greenhouse gas emissions
- Noise levels
- Housing and population growth
- Natural resources and habitat
- Public services and utilities
Don't worry—you don't need to be an expert to comment. Your concerns and questions matter.
