OCEANSIDE POLICE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATES REPORTED BOMB THREAT AT LOCAL SHOPPING CENTER

OCEANSIDE, CA — On March 10, 2026, at approximately 4:08 p.m., the Oceanside Police Department received a call through the dispatch center from an anonymous caller reporting a bomb threat in the 2100 block of Vista Way.

Officers responded to the area and began precautionary evacuations of several nearby businesses while officers assessed the situation. The Oceanside Fire Department also responded to assist. Out of an abundance of caution, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Bomb/Arson Unit responded with explosive detection K-9s to assist with the investigation.

After officers and assisting resources assessed the situation, authorities determined there was no credible threat.
