City leaders joined partners on January 17, 2023, for the groundbreaking of Greenbrier Village, an integrated affordable housing project that will bring 59 units of permanent housing with supportive onsite services to homeless or at-risk of being homeless individuals and families. Onsite case management services will include care coordination, mental, physical, and behavioral health services, and employment development. The project is being constructed near the Crouch Street SPRINTER Station on Greenbrier Drive off of Oceanside Boulevard on what was a vacant lot.
The project leaders are committed to building high-quality sustainable communities, and it's anticipated that Greenbrier Village will receive a 'LEED for Homes' certification at the gold level or better.
