While enjoying the library, please:

  • Be respectful to other Library customers and staff, and abide by all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Make sure an adult accompanies children under age 8 at all times.
  • Enjoy food and uncapped beverages outside.
  • Find a safe, appropriate place to sit and to put your belongings:
    • Keep personal property out of walkways.
    • The Children's area is intended for children and their parents or caregivers, and the Teen Zone for teenagers.
    • Sleeping or lying on the floor or furniture is not allowed.
  • Keep personal items within your sight at all times-if left unattended they are at risk, and will be collected and disposed of, if not claimed.
  • Use your own Library card and follow Library computer procedures.
  • Check out Library materials before exiting.
  • Use cell phones quietly, and use devices with earbuds, so as not to disturb others.
  • Keep pets outside-only service animals are permitted within 100 feet of the door.
  • Wear shoes and shirts and maintain personal hygiene.
  • Be considerate of the Library as a shared space-these behaviors are not acceptable:
    • Smoking
    • Solicitation, such as for business or donations
    • Disturbing others with loud or unreasonable noise
    • Laundering, bathing or other unreasonable use of restrooms
